Hi! I happen to have a random chinese laptop dock with PD, which didn't charge any of my two laptops (albeit they're quite power hungry) via the USBC/Thunderbolt cable.
This dock contains a USB3 hub, ethernet and HDMI outputs. I was wondering if it's possible to connect this into my Lumia 950XL. I haven't even connected it to my main phone just because I'm afraid of the PD stuff bricking it. Even tho, the wall wart I use to charge my phone (and the Lumia) is a QuickCharge 3.0 one.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
This is my dock https://www.wavlink.com/en_us/product/W ... TD21H.html
Thanks!
Usage of a USBC ("thunderbolt") dock?

It shouldn't brick it, USB-C (and TB3) handles different voltages, and 5v is the default so there's really no risk. It might not work with all the TB3 features though.
