Unable to install WARM64 because mobile cant be prepared for deployment

Hi Guys,

First my mobile device:
Lumia RM-1085_11213
Firmware: 01078.00053.16236.35017

Software used:
Win64 Pro
WInternals 2.9
WoA Deployer 2.6
Windows device recovery tool
Win Arm64 Pro image from here https://uup.rg-adguard.net/ (Feature update Version 1909 Windows 10 Pro)

i wanted to install windows arm64 on my Lumia 950 XL. Therefore i used this tutorial here: . While donwloading the files for the image, some files couldnt be loaded (due to mismatch of the windows version it was stated as a comment in the script). I unlocked my phone, downloaded my ffu before and so on.
An launched my mobile in mass storage mode and started the deployment. Drivers etc where loaded but at some point there was this wild error message that my phone cant be prepared for deployment.
I restarted the device and got into a menu where i can decide if i want to go to advanced options etc. but no windows arm was running. At the end i flashed the old ffu back because i wanted to test if nothing was bricked.

Can somebody tell me what im doing wrong? The tutorial video on yt includes the core package but i think this isnt necesarry anymore.

Sounds like an error thrown at you by WoA deployer. Could you please post the entire WoA deployer log so we can find the root cause? If not from WoA deployer could you please post more error details?

Sounds like an error thrown at you by WoA deployer. Could you please post the entire WoA deployer log so we can find the root cause? If not from WoA deployer could you please post more error details?

Something tells me this is happening after WoA Deployer and is instead happening during the Windows Setup Process. I've had it happen on later builds of Windows 10 ARM on my 950 XL. Most of the older builds work better. For example: build 17763 always deploys for me fine, but any build in the 18's gives me the error "Device could not be prepared for Windows deployment" occasionally during the setup process. Never have figured out why and so I stick with build 17763 because I know it will deploy.

I think my mistake was a old version of windows 10 mobile. I updated it, run the setup again and it worked. Its suprisingly performing very good. But Apps arent available atm or?

I took a very new image and it worked. Build 19008.vb_release.191019-1715

Glad to hear that you solved the underlying issue! Please note that build 19008 has no cellular support as opposed to 18908 but should be a great choice for latest features.

What's the latest build with cellular support? I know calls don't work at all, but data support would be nice with some updated features.

Thanks for the info. I would throw my android away if i get a mobile with this os. It works suprisingly well. Sometimes it crashes on login screen but the store is working. Installing some apps is possible etc. Great job from the devs!

Please take a look at this github issue:

It says that any build starting from 18912 has no more WP cellular components thus calls/data no longer work.
To get an official response from gus33000 check here:

He recommends to use build 18363 to get cellular support.

EDIT: nevermind, looks like cellular is coming back to latest Windows 10 ARM builds!
