Huge thanks to the dev team. My 950XL had been gathering dust but this project has really got me encouraged.
I have dual boot working. I've loaded the GPU drivers in WoA and done my customizations. Everything works except for the known issues in WoA.
I'd like to get Windows 10 Mobile to a more recent version to allow more apps to work. I show W10M on
Version 1511
OS build: 10.0.10586.318
Should I have upgraded W10M to a more recent version before enabling dual boot?
How can I upgrade W10M at this point?
How to upgrade W10M?
Re: How to upgrade W10M?
Yes, you should have updated W10M before even installing WoA.
No, you cannot update W10M without removing WoA, the UEFI, and (optionally, but recommended) re-lock the bootloader; lest the install gets erased or worse (it could become a brick! but only a soft brick; you'll have to reflash the stock ffu).

Re: How to upgrade W10M?
I got everything back to where it should be. W10M is on Version 1709. WoA is on 17763.292. GPU, Dual Boot all working.
However, it wasn't easy. I had to flash back to stock, restore bootloader, update W10M over the air... 3 times to get the latest, unlock bootloader, fiddle with getting into Mass Storage Mode, load WoA (twice since first time made the mistake of loading "Windows Only"), enable Dual Boot, load GPU drivers.
After I get everything updated, I'll look into how to properly back it all up.
