Will you be getting a Surface Duo?

Dear Windows on ARM community,

since some of you have experienced EOL of their Lumia devices it is only natural to seek for a successor. Quite some time ago Microsoft did announce the Surface Duo, a smartphone-class device. According to them, it is a dual-screen high-end Android bootloader-unlocked expensive phone device with specialised UI. It is estimated to release on September 10th this year.

Some news articles have mentioned the HDMI/DisplayPort story of the Lumia 950 in connection with the upcoming Surface Duo release. So I am really interested in what you think about this.

Have you ever considered getting one of those and if yes will you actually?

As for me, it is too expensive. Might just stick around with my Lumia 950 and throw it into my grave, along with the Display Dock (reference to SuperJMN's tweet).

If there is a Windows 10X version, dual boot option or an own image with Windows ARM or Windows 10X available for it which can be deployed to it I will buy it... otherwise it is a Android phone in which I am not very interested.

I will consider getting one as soon as WOA is ported to it. This should have been an optional download at the very least. There's simply no excuse. Obviously they couldn't get 10x going, so they delayed the Neo and put Android on the Duo. Why are they even bothering making new OS's? They already have Windows, which is the best base platform. It has had custom launchers on pc's before. They totally could have used Microsoft Launcher on these devices and allowed Android app support similar to whatever tech they helped Emperion with for their upcoming device. It still baffles me that they didn't do this along with the stupid Android release. But this is Microsoft, so I can't say that I'm surprised anymore.

Missed opportunity, isn't it?
