Porting WOA to other phones?
Porting WOA to other phones?
Is it possible to port woa to other android phones with open source drivers?

A phone with an open bootloader and a Snapdragon 835 / 845 should be possible. Like the Xiaomi Pocophone F1
But then you'll need a UEFI.

No, because we didn't have any ARM64 drivers and uefi, also uefi is uniqu per devices and drivers must written for woa. actually its a miracel we have it on Lumia 950/xl.

Unlocked bootloader its first step, we'll never have ARM64 driver even we had uefi, so impossible

I didn't want this to be my first post, but here are my .005 cents anyway (free speech and all)...
Dealing with absolutes is always dangerous and in the tech world Impossible is a funny concept...
Maybe it would be more functional to say "Impossible at this stage or in the forseen future".
Anyway I'm glad this project to bring new life into the last flaghip Lumia devices - Anything more is an added bonus.

Re: Porting WOA to other phones?
Is it possible to port this project to work on devices like HP Elite x3 and Alcatel Idol 4s? These have 64-bit SD 820 chips, and I figured since MSFT has demoed WoA on that platform, hopefully we can see tools to unlock the bootloaders and get WoA on these devices? Anxiously awaiting to flash my Idol 4s for a, now "supported", platform.
Also, Those who have WoA on their Lumias... How will Windows updates work as they send out system/security updates as well as those horrid "Feature" updates? Has anyone experience in breakage of their devices, etc?
